How to clean a keyboard? VACUUM CLEANER (best of the best)?
Oct 02

Hopefully I am posting this in the correct area and also, hopefully someone knows the answer. I have a Kirby vac. and was wondering if ONLY Kirby bags will fit. I need them now and don't have time to wait to have them ordered and delivered. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Answer:
Have you tried Walmart? , a lot of times they get cheap imitations of the same thing.

Answer:
I would guess that if you are desperate, and there are no local vacuum cleaner shops where you could purchase some genuine Kirby bags, a bag like Hoover type A or Eureka type U would work. We used to have a vacuum that used Eureka type U bags, and I can't remember exactly, but I thInk the hole on the bag was about the same size diameter as a Kirby bag hole. Also, look at your local supermarket. Sometimes they’ll have generic vacuum cleaner bags to fit various makes and models; you might be able to find some bags that are made to fit Kirby vacuum cleaners.

Answer:
Where you live depends on whether you'll be able to buy the bags for your Kirby. In my city there’s a janitor supply place that carries multiple vacuums, shampooers, etc. They also carry Kirby vacs and accessories. Your ideal bet is to search the web for your local janitorial or vacuum outlets. Being that Kirby is not sold in stores (go figure), their sales people who sell the vacs will have an outlet somewhere close. Try googling it. It's your best bet. Hope this info helps And ideal wishes!

Answer:
I’ve used hoover type A bags before. You’ve to cut tiny little slits all around the opening so that it will fit up on the hose. May take you a couple of bags to get it right, because sometimes they tear when you put them on. I find my Kirby bags at our local flea market.=)

Answer:
can also check the local thrift shop…

there’s always vacuum stuff there…I rescue vacuums from the dumpster and get my replacements stuff from the thrift shops.. most of the time just need a new belt and a hair cut…ha ha

5 or 6 of them a month thrown in the dumpster…

an simple $10 or $20 and it don't go to the landfill..

Answer:
I only use Kirby brand bags in mine.

I get them from a local vacuum store.

Not a Kirby dealer.

I don't thInk another brand bag will fit to be honest.

Look in your phone book and look for any vacuum dealer or one that repairs them.

:-)

I don't know where you live, but small town hardware stores often carry generic bags that work for multiple machines, if you know the type you need check there. check the large stores too …Walmart… Good luck.
